MyIntent

MyIntent Project is a catalyst for meaningful conversations and positive action. I am a certified MyIntent maker and retailer. Together we can keep your goals, anthems, dates or verses close to your heart and always on  your mind. I will offer hand stamped words on official MyIntent tokens or help you find your WORD for you or your group. Not only will you have a wearable reminder of your WORD, but you will also be supporting Strands and will be a blessing to our Strands selected families.

Bracelets
  • Made with nylon cord
  • Fits up to 8 characters between the cords
  • Two words would be stamped first word on top and second on bottom
  • Classic bracelets ($21) are offered with black, red, cream, purple cords and Brass, Nickel, Black, Gold plated, Silver plated and Rose Gold tokens. While in stock.
  • Twist bracelets ($25) are offered with black cords and Silver or Gold tokens.
Necklaces
  • Fits up to 14 characters
  • Dainty chain necklace ($35) Gold or Silver chain, 18" long. Tokens are available in Gold or Silver.
  • Beaded necklace ($25) Black Nickel, Nickel, or Gold beaded chain 24" long. Tokens are available in Black Nickel, Nickel, or Brass.
  • Adjustable necklace ($20) Black Nylon cord, 24" long. Available with Brass or Nickel tokens.

What are the MyIntent bracelets made out of?

  • brass: Brass only

Are the bracelets, keychains, and necklaces waterproof?

All of our items are technically waterproof, but contact with water will accelerate the aging process of the metal parts and items. The following is a list of the metals that make up our products along with a description of how each type of metal will age when put in contact with water:

Token Type:

  • Brass tokes do not have any plating, coating, or any other form of protection. Our uncoated brass tokens go through a natural oxidation over time that results in the token gaining an antique patina look that many find appealing. This natural oxidation will occur regardless, but it will be accelerated if the piece is put in contact with water and moisture. Both of these conditions are met due to the simple act of wearing the product. The oils from your skin and even sweat all contribute to the naturally occurring oxidation of uncoated brass. Thus, oxidation is unavoidable and will naturally alter the color of the token to resemble a darker, aged, antique quality. Do not be alarmed about the oxidation process - it is non-toxic. If the color of the oxidized token becomes too dark in color for your liking, simply polish the token with an old cloth and some vinegar to brighten and shine its appearance!
  • Nickel, Black Nickel, Silver and Gold plated: All these types of tokens are made of brass which has a coating, or plating, which helps to protect the token from oxidation. The plated color will last for a long period of time, but with time the plating will wear, and the brass will start to oxidize and change the color of the token. Exposure to water will accelerate the process of the plating wearing off and the oxidation and discoloration of the token.

Chains:

  • All of our chains are are made of Brass and are plated with either Nickel, Black, Nickel, Silver, or Gold. Just lie the plating of the tokens, the plating on our chains helps protect the Brass from oxidation. Overtime, the plating slowly wears off and the Brass will start to oxidize and alter the original color of the chain. Exposure to moisture will accelerate the process of the plating wearing off and the oxidation and discoloration of the chain. Because all the pieces composing a chain constantly move and rub against each other when worn, this friction accelerates the the plating in wearing off. Consequently, the color of the chain of your necklace is likely to wear off faster than the color of the token that hangs on the necklace.

What are the chain necklaces and key chains made out of?

All of our chain Necklaces and Keychains are made of Brass and are coated with a mixture of materials we are unfortunately unable to identify the composition of.

If you are prone to experiencing allergic reactions to worn materials, we suggest considering an item made with string (our Bracelets), as an alternative to an item containing a chain.
